What do you do when you have a unique business model needing to go through a transformational journey? Chumash Enterprises partnered with APQC to answer this question and more. With a multitude of business models in one Enterprise, Chumash Enterprises needed to customize a process model and framework to align with the business mission, vision, and values.
Through a strategic process, we are able to realize these results: • Moved from a Push Model to a Pull Model • Largest Cross-Functional effort in business history utilizing Center of Excellence as a driver (Capital Planning Project)- Cost Efficiency through new end-to-end process on project initiatives and budget planning. • Transformational shift in Leaderships culture, belief, and thinking towards Baldridge Excellence
Our efforts in process excellence have helped us realign enterprise goals and efforts towards a simple business model. The main drivers have been continuous improvement efforts geared at enhancing and updating the Enterprise version of APQC's Process Classification Framework® (PCF) and Knowledge Maps. This ensures further growth, and efforts remain aligned to the business strategic initiatives, and knowledge capture. While we’re still at the early stages of our journey, we’d love to share how we’ve learned up along the way!
