So, you've invested the time and energy to build some amazing process maps - bringing together subject matter experts to document ‘how you do what you do’ in a meaningful way. Now that you've captured a view of what's happening today, there are a number of questions to answer.
--How do you know that you've got it right? --How do you tease out some (extra) important details? --And most importantly, how do you pivot towards a future - improved - state?
In this interactive session, we'll talk through these questions and more discussing the challenges of what to do with all these amazing process maps in order to create value for your organization and how Mother Parkers takes their process maps to that next level. With the help of a handout to guide reflection and capture thoughts, participants will use their own process mapping frame of reference to dive into questions and share answers and ideas with other session attendees.
NOTE: This is NOT a “how to do" process mapping session – it's about creating value for your organization through the process mapping you’ve already done.
Learning Objectives:
Recognize ways of creating incremental value for their organizations with existing process maps
Identify ways to validate their process maps using a checklist of best practices, data points that can be used to better analyze the flow of work, and a plan to identify waste in their process
Be able to act on the ideas generated during this session, ultimately driving a continuous improvement mindset into their process mapping routines
